NEW CLASSES TO START OFF 2014!!

Besides doing "Bertie's Year" in wool applique with flannel piecing, we are also offering each month "Bertie's Year" done all in wool. This is the center only of the pattern the way it is shown and in completely done in hand dyed wools. We thought it might be fun to offer the February Bertie project as a class...it's a great beginner project if you haven't ever worked in wool before! Backed in a pretty pink cotton print, it will work well as a little table mat or pillow!

A Trip through the Midnight Garden
Hosted by Sarah Daniels
Starting in March 2014 - once a month for 4 months
(Class fee and kit information coming soon)
Come and join us as we tip toe through the "Midnight Garden" - a pattern by MJP Designs.
This 54 x 54 quilt is made up of 4 'vintage look' stitchery basket blocks on point in a beautiful quilt. At the first class you will pick up the pattern and kit (if making one like our shop sample) and work on basic instructions, stitch demonstrations for those new to embroidery and to assist with questions. Although each block is fairly detailed, the stitches are some of the basic ones used in embroidery. This will be an opportunity to come and work on each block once a month at the shop and enable you to jump start working on the next block.
