Well, we've just about fluffed everything in the shop at least once...just a few more things to hang and move quickly tomorrow and we'll be ready for open house!
(Thank heavens it's not bad winter weather around here...our main gas pack heater decided to 
quit running today...(and before anyone asks....yes, I checked to make sure we had plenty of gas
in the tank!). The A/C guy is due out there tomorrow to see what's going on with that! Thank heavens for those 60's temperatures this weekend!

I snapped just a few "tease" shots of some of our spring goodies...lots of wonderful bunnies from Arnett's Country Store and our own Vickie Wallace! Beautiful cross stitch pieces from
Mimi and Sherry...plus much more!

Lots of new kits and models up in the wool room, and tons of new OOP (out of print)
fat quarters and 1 yard cuts up in the classroom! ($1.25 for the fat quarters and $5 for the yard cuts!)  Make sure when you come in that you visit upstairs to see what's new!

Many of the new cross stitch patterns have arrived in time for the weekend's 
festivities....woohoo!!

Sabrina Thompson will be doing a "Crazy about Spring" pincushion class
and
Sharon Reilly will be doing a great beginner class on applique called 
"Orange Peel Table Shawl"

to "keep under our hats" until our Spring Open House on the 9th of March!

We have a sweet, early, Continental spinning wheel now at the shop for sale...great little size
and works beautifully! A mix of hardwoods.... ebony with bone inlay atop the finials. A family piece from one of our customers...it' ready to find a new home!

     
New bolts arrived...the habedashery line from Windham with the antique scissors and
mother of pearl buttons...lots of great uses for these!

Anybody needing some great straight tobacco sticks? We've got a bunch
now in stock...$3.00 each. (Great for curtain rods, garden trellising,  or to make a frame for the bee skep firescreen we have shown in the shop....)

 Here's a sneek peek of an upcoming class...perfect for Spring and I love bunnies!
We'll also make a few extra kits available as well...just a little more "tweeking" with the 
placement, and then on to the stitching!

 We received the most AWESOME quilt pattern today for the shop...
it is the Emily Monroe Quilt from the New England Quilt Museum.
54 blocks in all...each one detailed up close in color and then individually patterned.
I think this has so many unlimited possibilities...I can't wait to get started on a few!
Pattern comes beautifully boxed with a Kelmscott needle minder and thread holder...

Well, we made our whirlwind trip to PA...got back late last night!
As much I love going to Pennsylvania....they can keep their cold weather...I think I'm just too much of a southern girl to get use to that!
We drove up in snow showers...windows freezing up right along with the washer fluid...it snowed every night and was ICE cold every day....
It feels soooo good to be back in the south and these 50 degree temperatures!

We brought home a bunch of goodies...some will be in the shop for this weekend...others won't make their debut until our Open House. I'm crossing my fingers that the spring orders I placed will be here in time for the festivities!
