We just received a beautiful new line of print flannels from Windham called "Essex"...wonderful florals and tone on tone paisleys with a few plaids mix in...

One last note this week before I send out the blog update....

Now that our Civil War Block of the Month is coming close to an end, Sabrina has cut all of the rest of the kits and we now have a little bit of surplus Metropolitan Faire fabric that is available!
Over on our selling site (located near the top of the right hand side bar) and under the fabric section, you'll see swatches of the fabric line and the available yardage left.
We've sent an email out to our civil war participants to see if they would like any additional yardage at $6.50 per yard!!
We're giving those gals thru the weekend to let us know if they would like anything in particular....otherwise, beginning next Tuesday, it's up for grabs to anyone at the sale price of $6.50 per yard. A great line of fabric at a great price!

What a great 1st year birthday celebration we had at the shop!

A big and very grateful "thank you!" to all of our customers that came to help us celebrate the event! I wasn't expecting quite as big of a turn out...especially with our fall open house coming up soon....but everyone had a great time and all of us here at the shop appreciate

 the support and enthusiasm from all of you so much!

two drawer blanket chest...original snipe hinges...hand planed white pine...really nice scrolled feet. The size and height would be great to put a flat screen tv on and have a ton of storage!

Happy August to everyone!

Can you believe it's already the 8th month of the year?? Fall is just around the corner with our Fall Open House coming up on August 31st, and we just can't wait for that!

In the meantime, we're throwing in a little "birthday" celebration this Saturday at the shop. It's our "official" 1 year birthday of being in our new place in Fuquay Varina.

Nothing big and flashy (we're saving that for the open house)....just some homemade treats and lemonade along with a 10% store wide sale (Wow members will get 15% off)!

We'll also be doing a little charity work for Wake County's SPCA.....bring in a donation to help out their organization and you'll be entered into our drawing at the end of the day for a $25 gift certificate to our shop!
