Wow...has it really been almost a month since I've posted up on our blog??
Time really does fly....or I've started going in reverse!
(Could be a little of both!!)
Lots of fun stuff has been going on at the shop since I last updated...I do apologize for not keeping everyone up to date. Hopefully, you've been coming in and seeing what's been happening!

"Beat the Heat Fabric Sale!"
We have a HUGE Jo Morton fabric sale beginning tomorrow, Thursday, August 6th! Here are pics that Teri took so you can see a sampling of what's on sale!
50 bolts of fabulous Jo Morton fabric is going on sale for $5.50 per yard
(1/2 cut mimimum, please)
Already cut individual fat quarters are also on sale (if they are from the bolts we picked for the sale)

A NEW CLUB AND NEW BLOCK OF THE MONTH TO TELL YOU ABOUT!

What are Frivols??
They're a series of collectible tins. They're a new Moda precut. They're quilts. They're about having fun!
Each tin measures 4.5” x 7.5” and includes 42 7” squares, a new Moda quilt pattern, a new block pattern and a Frivol surprise.
Here are the details...
Each month, Moda will release a new "Frivols".....small fun quilt kits designed by Carrie Nelson (Miss Rosies Quilt Co.) using new lines from all of the designers in the Moda family.
Each kit comes in a great little specialty tin that coodinates with the project inside and will include 42 - 7" squares of fabric, an alternate block pattern to make a different project, a quote that has special meaning to that designer and a "frivols" surprise!

We welcome long distance customers to our group! Shipping each month will be $2.75.
Samples of the first 4 blocks will be up in the shop soon...Sabrina is sewing as fast as she can!
We'll also be including each month a fun "farm girl" worksheet with a free project and recipe!
And there will be a quarterly get together on that 4th Saturday for a little show n' tell, to show new ideas, and to help anyone with any problems they might be having!
October 24th will be the first get together with Sabrina showing you a great small design board project you can make that will be very helpful with this project, and giving out helpful hints on making your first blocks!
(There will be a morning and afternoon session each of those Saturdays)

Wow wool for August is back in stock...this is a fun month...the wool is actually a vintage 40's army blanket! Everyone needs a bit of that in their stash!

New 30's prints have been coming in...and more on Wednesday!

Kathy Schmitz has a new line of fabric that we received not too long ago...it's called "Sturbridge" and is mostly blacks, tans and creams!
It's selling really fast....come in and take a look if you haven't seen it yet.
There are some great black work patterns that she designed using the "Sturbridge" line as well...each are $8 and can be made into an individual project or put together for a cute small quilt project.
And this fun quilt pattern...which only takes two of the "Sturbridge" layer cakes to make!
